The Economic and Community Development Department contains the requirements and procedures for developing property in Rocklin and consists of the following divisions: 

Permit Center

The Permit Center issues permits. See “Get a Permit” for a list of all permits and their requirements and costs.

Building Services

The Building Division provides building permits & plan checks, building inspections, building reports and statistics, development activity, and fee schedules.

Planning Services

The Planning Division provides current and advanced planning services, housing programs and administers the City of Rocklin General Plan

Engineering Services

The Engineering Division provides a host of technical services essential to the community development process including reviewing and approving project improvement plans, final maps, and administering City development standards

Housing 

The Housing Division focuses on implementing the Housing element of the City’s General Plan.

Code Compliance

The Code Compliance office processes ordinance violations.
