  • Provide Engineering Services to other Departments
  • Oversee Commercial Construction & Inspection
  • Design & Review Traffic improvement plan
  • Prepare Certificates of Compliance
  • Review of Projects & Studies from others
  • Improvement Plans for streets and infrastructure adjoining the Rocklin City Limits
  • Projects and Programs sponsored by regional agencies such as: SACOG, PCTPA, PCWA, SPMUD, etc.

Interstate 80 and Rocklin Road Interchange

The City of Rocklin is studying the feasibility of reconstructing the Interstate 80 and Rocklin Road Interchange between Sierra College and downtown Rocklin to provide a safer connection for pedestrians, bicyclists, transit users, and motorists, and close the gap between communities caused by Interstate 80.

Current Projects

Capital improvement projects enhance public safety, improve quality of life, and expand economic development.

The initiation of these projects is based on growth and development in the City that has been identified in the City’s General Plan. 

Capital improvement projects are roadway improvement projects that have been identified in the circulation element of the City’s General Plan. The initiation of these projects is based on growth and development in the City. 

More information about future planned improvement projects can be found in the City of Rocklin budget documents.

City staff will recommend award of the construction contract for the Whitney Ranch Parkway Widening project to Carone and Company, Inc. at the City Council Meeting held on October 22, 2024 at 6:00 PM.
