Public Hearing Notices
Public Hearings
The City of Rocklin City Council, as well as City boards and commissions, are sometimes required by state law and/or municipal code to hold public hearings.
Although a public hearing is also a public meeting, or occurs in the context of a public meeting, the main purpose of most public hearings is to obtain public testimony or comment. A public hearing may occur as part of a regular or special meeting, or it may be the sole purpose of a special meeting, with no other matters addressed.
There is generally a 10-day noticing period for public hearings.
Get Involved in the Public Hearing Process
Any person interested in an agenda item may contact the City Clerk prior to the meeting date.
Court challenges to any public hearing items may be limited to only those issues that are raised at the public hearing described in the notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City at 3970 Rocklin Road, Rocklin, CA 95677 or prior to the public hearing. (Government Code Section 65009).
Accessibility
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the City
of Rocklin encourages those individuals with disabilities to
participate fully in the public hearing process. The
location of the public meeting is fully accessible to mobility
impaired individuals.
If you have special needs in order to allow you to attend or
