The City of Rocklin was recently awarded State grant funding in
the amount of $200,680 from the California Department of Justice.
The purpose of the grant is to assist law enforcement in
combating the illegal sale of cigarettes, vapor inhalation
devices and other tobacco related products to minors.
Funding for this grant is made possible as a result of
Proposition 56, the California Healthcare, Research and
Prevention Tobacco Tax Act of 2016, which raised the cigarette
tax by $2 per pack.
