Rocklin Dog Leash Policy
Leashing dogs reduces the risk for incidents with other dogs and humans, and ensures our Rocklin parks are a safe and enjoyable place for all!
With the increase of community reports of off- leash dogs at Rocklin parks, the City of Rocklin reminds the public to leash dogs at all times when visiting city parks, with the exception of the RRUFF dog park at Johnson-Springview Park.
Rocklin Municipal Code (RMC 6.04.050) prohibits off-leash dogs in City parks outside of designated off-leash areas. Violators are subject to citation and a fine.
To ensure the safety of all park visitors, the City of Rocklin will begin issuing citations to dog owners with dogs off-leash.
Why It’s Important
- Safety First: Prevents accidents and keeps everyone safe.
- Be Considerate: Not everyone loves dogs, so let’s keep our furry friends close.
- Protect Wildlife: Helps keep our local wildlife safe and our parks beautiful.
Leash Up!
- All dogs must be on a leash (max 6 feet) in public areas like parks, sidewalks, etc.
- Off-leash fun is only allowed at the RRUFF Dog park at Johnson-Springview Park (5480 5th St, Rocklin, CA).
How You Can Help
