Prospect Snow and Wake

Post

Neil Henderson’s business card proudly proclaims him the “Head of Shred” at Rocklin’s newest ski and board factory, Prospect Snow and Wake. For the past eight years, Henderson has been producing snow and wake equipment in Madison, Wisconsin, but earlier this year he made the decision to pick up his life and move to the Sacramento region.

“Rocklin is uniquely positioned,” Henderson said. “It’s at the base of the foothills on the I-80 corridor with world class snow in close reach at Lake Tahoe, wakeboarding is popular at nearby lakes and cable parks, and you could even head to the beach to surf, all in the same day.”

Henderson hopes to take advantage of Rocklin’s location and the region’s culture by offering artisan, meticulously handcrafted snowboards, wakeboards and skis that match or exceed the quality offered by large manufacturers. His operation is only getting started in town, but he encourages people to check out his online store or to stop by his shop at 4300 Anthony Ct., Unit N for a closer look, Prospect also offers equipment turning, service and repair. Henderson would also like enthusiasts to remember, “Buy local. Ride global.”
