Emergency Notification System
The City of Rocklin, in partnership with emergency response
agencies throughout Placer, Sacramento, and Yolo counties, has
implemented a state-of-the-art emergency mass notification
system. It provides critical information, delivered quickly. Sign
up at www.Placer-Alert.org.
In the event of law enforcement activity, fire, unexpected road
closures, missing persons, evacuations, or other emergencies,
citizens can sign up to be notified on their cell phones, work
phones, or home phones. The citizen simply logs on
to www.Placer-Alert.org to
enter up to five addresses; i.e., children’s schools, a home
address, a business address, etc.
If there is pertinent activity in the vicinity of those
addresses, the citizen will be notified. All personal information
is kept strictly confidential. An emergency call will display
with the calling number as 999-999-9999.
The new emergency notification system by Everbridge was made
possible through a grant from the Department of Homeland Security
and the California Office of Emergency Services.
