David Bass
Vice-Mayor
David Bass was elected to the City Council in 2022, stepping in to fill a vacated seat. A dedicated member of the Rocklin community, he proudly serves on the boards of the Rocklin Chamber of Commerce and the Rocklin Police Activities League, and is an active member of the South Placer Rotary Club. Alongside his wife, David enjoys raising their two children in the Rocklin Unified School District.
Professionally, David is a Deputy District Attorney with Sacramento County. He previously served as a partner at a local law firm focused on defending the business community and has experience as a Deputy District Attorney for Placer County and Deputy Attorney General, prosecuting felonies and complex crimes. In addition to his legal work, he volunteers legal counsel for abused elders and wildfire victims, and is a military veteran.
David is committed to serving with integrity, transparency, and collaboration with citizens and businesses. Drawing on his experience as a Rocklin Planning Commissioner, he aims to manage the city’s growth responsibly while preserving a high quality of life for residents. With a strong background in law enforcement, he prioritizes public safety and seeks to enhance opportunities for youth in sports, education, and recreation.
