Rocklin on Watch
Camera Registration Program
About the program
Camera registration is the Rocklin Police Department’s newest crime prevention and investigation tool. It allows the community to join our crime fighting team to keep residents and businesses in the City safe. Rocklin on Watch allows residents and business owners to register the locations of their video surveillance camera systems with the Rocklin Police Department. When a crime or incident occurs, the Police Department can easily identify cameras in the area and enlist the help of the community to help us collect video evidence and potentially solve the crime. The registration information provided will be used for official purposes only and will not be shared.
How does it work?
Using the locations of the registered camera systems, the Police Department will be able to contact residents in the area where a crime or incident occurred. Police personnel may request a copy of video captured to assist in an investigation.
What are the benefits of registering your camera?
- Allows the Police Department to quickly identify nearby cameras that may have captured criminal activity
- Your footage may aid in a police investigation
- Strengthens the community-police partnership
- Helps deter crime city-wide
The Rocklin Police Department is committed to its community partnerships with residents and businesses. Let’s make Rocklin an undesirable place for criminals to commit crime and help keep our community safe. Working together we will reduce crime.
Registration is simple, voluntary and free.
