Ready to Vote, Rocklin!
Ready to Vote?
To ensure their voters can confidently and successfully cast their ballots in the November 5, 2024 General Election, the Placer County Elections Office would like to share a few important reminders.
Casting Your Vote in Person
The adoption of the Voter’s Choice Act election model in 2023 means more in-person voting opportunities for Placer County voters, as they are no longer assigned to a specific voting location to cast their ballots in person. Instead, they can now visit any one of 29 regional vote centers located throughout the county. Depending on the location, these vote centers are open for four or 11 days; seven of Placer’s 29 vote centers for the November 5, 2024 General Election opened Oct. 26, and the remaining 22 locations will be available to voters starting Nov. 2.

Vote-by-Mail Voting
Eligible voters who choose to vote using their vote-by-mail ballot can return it to the Elections Office in person, by mail or by using one of 31 official drop boxes located throughout Placer County. Remember to sign your ballot envelope so it can be counted!
All drop boxes will be closed by 8 p.m. on Election Night, Nov. 5, though some may close earlier. Mailed ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 5 and received at the Elections Office no later than Nov. 12 to be counted.
Track your vote by mail ballot by visiting the Placer County Elections webpage.
Sign, Scan and GO!
Ballots returned in the last week of the voting period may arrive too late to be included in Election Night results, so the Placer County Elections Office urges you to consider casting your ballot using the new “Sign, Scan & GO!” process.
Bring your vote-by-mail ballot to any open Placer County vote center, sign in with elections staff, scan your ballot using the ballot scanner and GO! Voters during the March primary reported that they loved the new, expedited process, especially knowing their votes were counted as they watched and included in the preliminary results released on Election Night.
Dedicated to transparency and security, the Elections Office invites anyone who wishes to observe and learn more about election procedures in Placer County to visit the office in person. Voters can get voting assistance, obtain a replacement ballot or find vote center and drop box locations on the Placer County Elections website (https://www.placercountyelections.gov/), by calling 530-886-5650 (toll-free 1-800-824-8683) or by visiting the office in person at 3715 Atherton Road in Rocklin.
