Firework Safety 2024
Only "Safe & Sane" Fireworks Permitted In Rocklin

News

As we approach Independence Day, it is important for residents to stay informed of enforced regulations concerning the purchase and igniting of fireworks within city limits.

The City of Rocklin has adopted a Zero Tolerance Policy regarding Illegal Fireworks.  Only “Safe & Sane” fireworks are legal in California and may be sold within the city limits by non-profit organizations that meet specific criteria.

Fireworks that are not “safe and sane” are considered illegal. Some of these illegal fireworks include:

  • M-80’s
  • Firecrackers
  • Fireworks shot from a launching tube
  • Skyrockets

Any individuals who possess, charge, allow others to possess or discharge on their property or individuals that discharge “safe and sane” fireworks in an illegal manner are subject to a fine.

ALL FIREWORKS ARE PROHIBITED FROM ROCKLIN PARKS AT ALL TIMES, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Please be mindful of surrounding neighbors, residents, and animals when igniting safe and sane fireworks. Ensure individuals are out of the “blast radius” and be mindful not to set fireworks off late into the evening in consideration of your neighbors.

Please report illegal discharge of fireworks by calling the non-emergency number at (916) 625-5400, option 1.
