City of Rocklin Unveils Conceptual Rendering for New Fire Station 22
The City of Rocklin is thrilled to announce a significant milestone in our public safety efforts with the release of the conceptual rendering for the new Fire Station 22, designed to serve the southeast portion of our community. This area encompasses the Sierra College campus, home to nearly 20,000 students, as well as our largest commercial development.
This new fire station is a vital addition to our emergency response framework, providing much-needed relief to our existing three stations, which currently cover nearly 20 square miles and serve a population of 73,000, with a density of 3,614 people per square mile. Our unwavering commitment to enhancing public safety is reflected in this project, which is crucial for improving response times and ensuring the safety of all residents.
The conceptual rendering showcases a facility built with modern functionality and sustainability in mind. Key features include:
- Advanced Firefighting Technology: Equipped with state-of-the-art tools and equipment to support our dedicated firefighters.
- Community Spaces: Designated areas for community training sessions, safety workshops, and public engagement events.
- Eco-Friendly Features: Incorporating sustainable materials and energy-efficient systems to minimize environmental impact.
Strategically located adjacent to the Sierra College Campus, just north of the Stadium entrance on Sierra College Blvd, this fire station aims to enhance response times and improve safety for all residents and businesses in the area.
“We are excited to share this design with the community,” said Mayor Greg Janda. “This project reflects our dedication to public safety, and we look forward to serving our residents in this new facility.”
“Seeing this fire station project come to life is a proud moment for our community,” said Councilmember Broadway, who served as Mayor when the project was approved. “This facility will enhance our emergency response capabilities and ensure the safety of our residents for years to come.”
Fire Chief Reggie Williams added, “The addition of Fire Station 22 is a critical step toward ensuring that our emergency services can meet the needs of our growing population. This facility will enable us to respond more quickly and effectively, ultimately enhancing the safety and well-being of our community.”
The concept drawing is now available online, and we encourage community members to engage with us and share their thoughts as we move forward with this important initiative.
Thank you for your continued support as we work together to build a safer and more resilient community.
