City Awards Nearly $150,000 in Restaurant Assistance Grants

News

The final numbers are in and the City of Rocklin and the Rocklin Area Chamber of Commerce are excited to announce that $149,952.46 in total was provided in grants to nearly 50 local businesses through the City’s restaurant assistance program.

The program was funded by the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and was approved by City Council late this summer to provide support to local businesses during these unprecedented times.

Small restaurants not only provide essential food service to residents and visitors, but are also vital employers. These businesses are part of the unique culture of Rocklin and City Council and the Chamber of Commerce hope funds can offset a small portion of the costs of additional safety precautions and operating restrictions caused by the pandemic.

The City and Chamber thank everyone who applied for choosing to do business in Rocklin and wish them continued success.
