Beyond the Blueprint for Industry and Business Sectors – Effective June 15
Recommendation for 'Mega Events' Released
Today, the California Dept. of Public Health released updated
guidelines for indoor and outdoor “mega events” after the state
moves beyond the Blueprint for a Safer Economy on June 15,
2021.
Mega events are characterized by large crowds greater than 5,000
(indoors) and 10,000 (outdoors) attendees. Mega events may
have either assigned or unassigned seating, and may be either
general admission or gated, ticketed and permitted
events.
Recommendations for mega events will include verification of
fully vaccinated status, the use of facemasks when verification
is not available, and event communications reiterating that the
state recommends vaccinations, testing, or wearing face
coverings.
