Fire Operations Division Chief
Michael Davis began his fire service career in the rural communities of Placer County in 1984. He has held many positions within the fire service, serving in ranks from entry level Firefighter; all the way to Fire Chief. In 2004 Chief Davis came to the City of Lincoln as an Operations Chief with the Fire Department. He has served as Interim Fire Chief for the City of Lincoln on two separate occasions spanning more than five years.
In 2016 the cities of Lincoln and Rocklin entered into a shared service agreement to better utilize and share fire department administrative personnel. Chief Davis presently serves as a Division Chief in the operations side of the organization under this shared service model.
Chief Davis has a Bachelor’s Degree from California State University Long Beach and an Associates Degree from Sierra College. He has been certified by the California State Fire Marshal’s Office and the California State Board of Fire Services as a Chief Officer, in addition to attending various coursework at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland. He is a member of the Placer County Incident Management Team and maintains membership in numerous professional and trade organizations.
