Bike Lane Improved on Pacific Street
Cyclists traveling between the City of Rocklin and the Town of Loomis via Pacific St. will find their next ride a little easier thanks to the City’s Public Services Department.
Rocklin recently widened an area of Pacific St. between Delmar Ave. and Americana Way by approximately 7 ft. and added striping to accommodate the continuation of a bike lane between the two roadways. Cyclists now have an uninterrupted path from the City limits to Midas Ave. and can make connections to other paths at Sierra Meadows Dr., and Cedar St.
The project was funded through a grant focused on improving pedestrian and bike pathways in the City.
The City also offers an interactive online map of bike lanes throughout the City. For access, visit rocklin.ca.us/communitymap open the Layers tool (top right), then expand the Transportation group and click the box next to Bikeways and Trails. The red paths are existing lanes.
