California Organics Rocklin Curbside Pickup

After 20 years of serving Nevada City area residents at their brick and mortar store, California Organics is now branching out to bring their high quality grocery products to Rocklin with a curbside pickup location at 4829 Granite Drive, off of Highway 80.

California Organics products are made from scratch using real, organic, GMO free, sustainably produced ingredients.

Impact Axe

Impact Axe, an indoor axe throwing and craft beer lounge, is the latest in recreation in Rocklin—and it’s entirely safe (yes, even with the alcohol). The business opened just under a month ago by three couples who wanted to create a space for people to spend time together and enjoy each other’s company. They have partnered with Wounded Warrior Project and were involved with the first day of Rocklin Police’s six week K-9 training! Fast Freddie’s

Fast Freddie’s has a new home in Rocklin! The business, owned by Adan Lopez, reopened its doors in the Stanford Ranch Plaza three weeks ago after years of being located in Roseville. Lopez took over the shop from its original owner Freddie 16 years ago, and he kept the name—and most importantly, the brick ovens! The pizza place makes most everything from scratch—dough, sauce, lasagna—and emphasizes its relationship with the customer above all else. “Most people come in for the service,” Lopez said. “All our workers are friendly, and we make everyone feel like family.

Co-owners Patty Fecanin and Christie Webb are a mother-daughter duo focused on operating a business by women, for women. The goal of the shop is to make sure that all women feel fabulous, and one of the best ways to do that is to give them a beautiful hairstyle that lasts for days. This spa-like location features 10 blow-out stations, along with a makeup bar.

Dogtopia

Dogtopia, the newest doggie daycare center in Rocklin, had its grand opening August 24 and is already thriving. The daycare’s number one emphasis is on safety so that your dog is entertained and well-cared for the entire day. This is all evident in the initial evaluation with every dog and required standard vaccines before being accepted, playrooms that separate dogs by temperament and size, and rooms and crates that are deep-cleaned twice daily.

Jon and Bon’s Yogurt Shoppe

Jon and Bon’s Yogurt Shoppe is the newest addition to the Crossing Shopping Center in Rocklin. The family-owned business started in Chico, and it has since expanded to five locations across Northern California. Typically, the shoppe is open late to encourage community.

The company has frozen yogurt and sugar-free varieties, along with ice cream, smoothies, and shaved ice. Also available are mouth-watering toppings (including homemade granola!). Stop by to cool off or enjoy a sweet treat. Welcome to the neighborhood!

University of Beer

University of Beer (UoB) is not your average bar or restaurant. This is UoB’s fourth location, and the small chain features 48 taps with every kind of craft beer imaginable. Owner Nate Yungvanitsait says that “the goal of the restaurant is to teach our customers about beer instead of just serving it to them.” Employees are well-trained in the art of beer and routinely offer samples to ensure that customers find something they will like. Rocklin’s newest milk tea option, Tea Republic, opened in January at 4810 Granite Drive, Suite A6, in the Sierra Meadows Plaza.

Elevation Dance Center

Elevation Dance StudioElevation Dance Center is a family-friendly dance studio that emphasizes proper fundamentals and technique in a positive learning environment scheduled to open in late spring at 3241 Stanford Ranch Road, Suite 600.

Classes will be offered in ballet, jazz, tap, and acro, with hopes to expand into hip hop, for ages 2 through adult. Elevation will also sell basic dancewear and shoes.
